Totally disappointed

Very disappointed with both the product and the customer service. My Air 2 worked beautifully for 18 months and then all of a sudden stopped cutting effectively. I used it about five times every day for my business and so thought it just needed to be replaced. I was disappointed when I had the same experience with the replacement. I returned it to Hobbycraft and was given another one which again does not cut properly. I have spent hours on the chatline and haven't received any proper help and support. Tonight I have been cut off and am not at all happy. Very disappointing service for an American company. A lot of people seem to have this problem at the moment and I wonder if it is something to do with their upgrades.

Should be a -1 in my opinion

Should be a -1 in my opinion. My easypress mini stopped working after a few weeks, Cricut promied after several emails and some very bad feedback on my part to replace the machine by post and to contact them if not received by about 6 weeks, Nothng received so far over 15 emails and they want me to contact Amazon where I purchased from to get the refund, that would mean I am waiting for another 2 or 3 weeks. Not good enough Cricut. Contacting consumer watchdog and buying a new easypress mini because I really need it, hope it lasts longer than the previous one!!!!!!

They like to argue!

So if you want someone to argue with, you've come to the right place. If your Cricut machine or Design Space program has a problem, and you try to explain it to them, oh boy they do not listen to what you have to say. They will argue that their end do not have a problem but you have, which is precisely why you contacted them. So instead of helping you to solve a problem, they will argue until you have given up and give a good 1 star review here.

Brilliant machine, design space is toilet bound.

Brilliant machine, it's a shame cricut are charlatans, money grabbing crooks. Oh by the way I have a used cricut maker for sale going cheap, nice machine, cheap good vinyls and accessories, downside TERRIBLE customer service and ignoring help staff.

Terrible company.

Loved the device, my wife and kids did too, however 8 days into ownership the company changed the terms of service of the software to require a subscription. That's not what I purchased Cricut! I'm now the proud owner of a Silhouette Cameo 4 and the Cricut Maker has been returned.

Cricut does not value its costumers

Cricut does not value its costumers. They are restricting our freedom and forcing people to sign up to their subscription service and even making it impossible to reseal your machine if you don’t want to be part of it anymore! Do not buy it!

Don't waste your money on Cricut

Out of nowhere, they decided you have to pay a subscription to be able to use the machine you already own and paid for. It used to be great before that. Don't waste your money on a Cricut, get a Silhouette Cameo machine instead. Cricut is getting ready for an IPO and they are just trying to say they have a healthy steady revenue flow with these forced subscriptions. Someone high up in the company must be trying to cash out.

Cricut restricts uploads of original designs without subscription

I purchased a Cricut Maker with the understanding that I would be able to create any original designs. 6 months later they announced changes to the Design Space software that is required to use the machine. Users can only upload 20 designs a month unless they subscribe to Access which costs $10/month. I would not have purchased the machine if I had known I would be limited to 20 uploads without an additional monthly cost.

Requires paid subscription to use machine

Cricut forces you to use their horrible software in order to use your machine. Workaround was to upload your own files from proper software like illustrator into cricut design space then cut. So now on top of that annoying process, they want to charge people who want to upload more than 20 designs per month to use on their own machine....What?? Would not have purchased machine if I had known it required a paid subscription to use. On top of that they are not a software company and clearly not investing in their design software. It is virtually unusable for anyone with actual design experience. Insanity.

20 Upload Policy is Extortion

This new policy of only 20 uploads a month unless you subscribe to Access is nothing short of extortion. Why should I have to pay for a machine I already own? I should be able to use it whenever and how often I like.

Unethical, unscrupulous, and greedy

Cricut forces users to upload all of their projects into their terrible Design Space in order to send the files to the machine to cut. There is no workaround, Design Space is the only software that works with the machines and Cricut has sued companies that designed alternative software in order to keep it that way. Many (if not most) users design their projects in other programs and only upload completed files into design space when it’s time to cut, because contrary to its name, design space sucks and is difficult to design in. Now, Cricut is going to limit the number of file uploads to 20 per month unless users subscribe and pay a premium for their inferior software. They are holding their customers hostage and demanding money for an unnecessary and unwanted service, after promising that “creative freedom will always be free.” Even if they reverse this stupid, greedy decision, they’ve showed that they are comfortable with unscrupulous and unethical business practices and I’m sure they’ll try something similar in the future. If you’re in the market for a smart cutting machine, get a Silhouette, I wish I would have!
